The carpet from Delhi came about a week after I got home. The chair and table that I bought from Jaipur Handicrafts arrived about a week later in perfect condition. The carpet was carefully rolled and protected with packing material, bubble wrap and sealed. The chiar and table were packed separately in custom made sheet metal trunks with hinges and locks.
The chair is a light camp chair whose two parts can be nested for carrying and the table is a very heavy camel saddle. What is ironic is that the chair is very similar to one I have on my Boy Scout website at http://scouters.us/homeproj.html . Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting, started his military career in India in 1876. So, who knows, perhaps B-P sat in this chair ;-)
